AIRPORT PARKING

 

Aberdeen Airport (BAA) - You can park free in both the long and short stay's if you park under the bike shelter or half price motorcycle parking in the NCP car parks. (Updated 1 Jul 08)

 

Birmingham Airport - Free motorcycle parking stands are available near the entrance to Multi-Storey Car Park 2. There are bars to chain your bike to. For a map showing its location click here. (Updated 5 Aug 08)Left luggage (useful for motorbike gear) is on the first floor of Terminal 1, adjacent to Boots and costs £4 per item per day. (Updated 28 Jun 08)

Cardiff Airport - Although NCP run the car parks on behalf of the airport you can currently park in any of the car parks.  Simply ride around the barriers and park considerately. (Updated 5 Aug 08)

 

Coventry Airport - Motorbikes and bicycles park free of charge. Free changing facilities are located adjacent to the Thrifty office.  Lockers are situated in Rapide House with keys obtainable from departures security (Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

East Midlands Airport - No free spaces.. You can park in the Short stay car park for £3.10 per day (Updated 5 Aug 08)


Edinburgh Airport (BAA) - Half price motorcycle parking in the NCP car parks.
The latest information we have now indicates that you can no longer park free to the side of the customer services building in the long or short stay car parks. (Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

Exeter Airport - Motorcycles can be parked free of charge near Car Park 1 (just behind the advertising board). This is at your own risk but there are anchors to secure the motorcycle to. For further information contact NCP Customer Services on 01392 361 028 (Updated 5 Aug 08)


Gatwick Airport (BAA) - Motorcycles can park free of charge at Gatwick in the dedicated motorcycle areas. Motorcycles must not be parked in the bays that are meant for cars. The locations of the dedicated motorcycle bays are as follows: South Terminal - Car Park 2 - bays on each floor / North Terminal - on ground floor of car park. (Updated 28 Jun 08)


Glasgow Airport (BAA) - NCP run the car parks on behalf of the airport. You can park free in the Short Stay Car Park (Do not take a ticket at the barrier and do not park in a parking space). Alternatively you can use the car bays which are charged at half the normal car parking rates. (Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

Heathrow Airport (BAA) - Motorcycles can park free of charge at Heathrow in the dedicated motorcycle areas. Motorcycles should not use car park bays. The locations of the dedicated motorcycle parks at Heathrow are: Terminals 1, 2, 3 - at the back of Short Stay Car Park 1A/5, located to the right of the exit. Access via Chester Road. Terminal 4 - opposite the arrivals forecourt. Terminal 5 next to the Short Stay Car Park. For a map showing the motorcycle parking click here. (Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

Leeds Bradford Airport - Free motorcycle parking. Bikers are asked to parked in sensible places so as not to cause an obstruction and NOT in car bays. You can chain the bike to immovable objects providing no damage is caused. Note that a fundamental redevelopment of the Terminal forecourt and adjacent short stay car park and large swathes of car parking is just about to be redeveloped and will appear to be empty, please DO NOT park in these areas as your bike will be moved (at your expense and risk). For security reasons there is no location to store your leathers etc (Updated 30 Jun 08).

 

London City Airport - A free motorcycle parking area is located underneath the DLR viaduct opposite the turning to the front of the terminal building.(Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

Luton Airport - Free motorbike parking in the short stay car park next to the departures terminal. Park to the left of the security hut where there is ample space and you can also park for free up against the fence directly in front of the security hut. (Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

Manchester Airport - Free motorcycle parking under the flyover near Terminal 1 (At owners own risk). Premier Parking, 200 yards east of Terminal 3, offer secure parking at £2 per day (immediately behind their 24/12 manned office). Parking is not available in the multi storey car parks as the barriers do not open with the weight of a motorcycle. Click here for link to airport map. (Updated 28 Jun 08)

 

Norwich Airport - Park for a fortune in the NCP Long Stay Car Park. £10 for 1 day! £20 for 2 days!! £5 for every day there-after!!! (i.e £85 for 15 days). There is no specific motorcycle parking allocation but it has regular CCTV and security checks (it should do at the price!!!). The Short Stay costs you £15 per day, £25 for 2 days and £10 for each day there-after.(Updated 5 Aug 08)

 

Southampton Airport (BAA) - Free motorcycle parking in the designated area (on the left near the taxi rank) in the multi-storey car park opposite the terminal building. (Updated 5 Aug 08)

 

Stansted Airport (BAA) - There are 30 free motorcycle bays in Zone Q of the Long Stay Car Park. (To reach the airport terminal from the Stansted long stay car park a transfer service operates between the car park and the terminal. This service runs every 20 minutes with the transfer to the terminal taking 10 – 15 minutes. During peak times the transfer may take longer. Security measures in the Stansted long stay car park include comprehensive CCTV, security fencing and regular patrols) There is also short-stay motorcycle parking in the Red zone of the Short Stay Car Park.
