London Bus Lane Clarification
There has been some confusion about the use of bus lanes in London by motorcyclists, Motorcycleparking.com would like to advise all bikers that it is the Red Route bus lanes that are open to bikers during the 18 month trial period. It does NOT include bus lanes on borough roads. Decisions about these roads lie with the individual boroughs.

A petition to ask for the Westminster motorcycle charge to be scrapped has been set up on the government's epetition website. The deadline for signatures is 6 March 09.

Motorcycleparking.com have just been made aware of a statement on the Westminster Council website which claims that, along with the British Motorcycle Federation (BMF) and the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG), we too were part of the 'extensive dialogue' and 'consultation' about the introduction of the motorcycle parking charge. We would like to make it clear that our 'consultation' amounted to a handful of emails and one meeting during 2007 in which we pointed out that we felt that not enough bike

6 days later... Westminster finally change the wording of their website following requests from BMF, MAG and Motorcycleparking.com (MCP)
Following requests from BMF, MAG and MCP, Westminster Council have changed the wording on their website (see article below) to reflect the true extent of our involvement in the 'consultation' i.e. Limited!

Westminster motorcycle parking charge demonstration exceeds all expectations
